Toon in training: Another bite at the Cherries

Following a 1-1 draw between the two sides at St. James' Park in September and another clash in the Carabao Cup in December, Newcastle United and AFC Bournemouth meet for the third time this season on Saturday.

This will be a first return to the Vitality Stadium for Eddie Howe and most of his coaching staff, with Howe still revered on that part of the South Coast after taking Bournemouth from the foot of League Two to the top flight over the course of two spells as manager, having already played for the Cherries more than 300 times.

Matt Ritchie, Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser also played for Bournemouth and all three could be involved at the weekend. Alexander Isak also took part in Wednesday's training session, as did recent signings Anthony Gordon and Harrison Ashby

Youngsters Amadou Diallo and Jamie and Lewis Miley were with Howe's group too, and club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from United's Benton base.
