Palace point in pictures

Callum Wilson's sensational goal earned Newcastle United a point at Crystal Palace on Saturday - and gave interim boss Graeme Jones something to build on in his first match in the dugout.

United were backed by 2,800 travelling fans and they were delighted when Wilson sent a superb overhead kick past Vicente Guaita nine minutes after Christian Benteke had given the home side a 56th-minute lead.

And while the Magpies will hope to play better in the weeks and months ahead, there was no questioning their commitment at Selhurst Park while the team looked more solid defensively than they have done for much of the season as they dug in for the draw.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk these pictures from South London.
