In pictures: Young Magpies win at the Stadium of Light

Newcastle United's under-23s came from behind to beat their Sunderland counterparts at the Stadium of Light on Monday night

The young Magpies fell behind to Tyrese Dyce's first-half goal, but Jay Turner-Cooke and Adam Wilson turned the game on its head in the second period, with Joe White heavily involved in both goals.

With two divisions between Newcastle and the Black Cats at first team level, it may not quite have been the real thing but any Tyne-Wear derby is a hard-fought affair and these three Premier League 2 points will have felt particularly sweet for the United players - something that was clear to see from the celebratory scenes after the match.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from Wearside.
