In pictures: United's fan-tastic support at Wembley

The Toon Army travelled to London in their tens of thousands over the weekend, and did Newcastle United proud in Trafalgar Square before the game and in the stands on Sunday.

It was the Magpies' first Wembley cup final since 1999 and their first trip to the famous stadium since it was rebuilt, with a spectacular arch replacing the iconic Twin Towers, and the supporters certainly made the most of it.

On Saturday night, thousands partied by Nelson's Column before tidying up the Square and being praised for their behaviour by Westminster City Council - then on Sunday they backed the team wonderfully as Eddie Howe's side were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United.

Club photographer Serena Taylor and Stu Forster from Getty Images snapped fans on Olympic Way and inside the ground, with black and white shirts, flags and scarves almost everywhere. You can see even more photos, and purchase pictures from this gallery, here.
