In pictures: Trippier in Toon

England international defender Kieran Trippier has become Eddie Howe's first signing at Newcastle United, with the 31-year-old joining the Magpies from La Liga champions Atlético Madrid.

Trippier, who played for his country in the Euro 2020 final last summer, has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at St. James' Park, and arrived at the club's training ground on Wednesday before the transfer was completed on Friday morning.

It is the second time that Howe has signed Trippier, who he brought to Burnley on loan from Manchester City in 2011, and the player completed medical examinations before putting pen to paper. He also gave his first interview to NUFC TV and posed for a number of snaps for club photographer Serena Taylor, who brought nufc.co.uk this gallery.
