In pictures: Magpies secure Champions League qualification

With one game still to play of a long, hard Premier League campaign, Newcastle United booked their place in next season's Champions League on Monday night.

The Magpies needed one more point to qualify, and that came thanks to a 0-0 draw with Leicester City at St. James' Park. Eddie Howe's dominant side hit the woodwork three times, but in the end were grateful for a massive save from Nick Pope in stoppage time to give them the result they required.

It has been 20 years since Newcastle last played in the Champions League and there were fantastic scenes at the final whistle as players, staff, owners and supporters celebrated an amazing achievement together.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from a night that will live long in the memory.
