In pictures: Magpies' memorable win over PSG

It was a night that will never be forgotten on Tyneside.

Newcastle United are back in the Champions League and Paris Saint-Germain - with their star-studded squad - were the first visitors to Tyneside in the competition for 20 years.

St. James' Park was bouncing before kick-off with a cacophony of noise greeting Eddie Howe's side as they went toe-to-toe with one of Europe's elite clubs.

And they rose to the challenge on what was an incredible night, with Miguel Almirón rifling home the opener before Dan Burn's thumping header made it two.

Sean Longstaff sent United fans into dreamland with a third just after the break and although Lucas Hernández pulled one back, United were irrepressible, with Fabian Schär curling home a spectacular fourth in stoppage time to cap a sensational evening that will go down in Newcastle folklore.

Serena Taylorassisted by Michelle Mercer, was at St. James' to capture the action and bring nufc.co.uk this bumper gallery.
