Huddersfield win in pictures

Newcastle extended the gap between themselves and third-placed Huddersfield to 11 points with a superb win at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday.

And in doing so, they equalled the club record for away wins in a season, set by Kevin Keegan's promotion-winning team of 1992/93.

Matt Ritchie gave the Magpies the lead from the penalty spot and Daryl Murphy made it 2-0 before the break.

Aaron Mooy pulled one back with a spot-kick in the 72nd minute and that set up a nervy finale, but United made sure of the win when, in stoppage time, substitute Dwight Gayle broke to score a third.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this bumper gallery.
