Cottagers cup clash in pictures

For only the second time in 18 years, Newcastle United are through to the fifth round of the FA Cup thanks to a 2-0 win at Fulham on Saturday.

The Magpies have won the famous competition six times in their history, but since reaching back-to-back finals in 1998 and 1999, they have rarely come close to lifting it again.

But, having cruised past Sunderland in the third round and now navigating a tough tie at Craven Cottage, the dream is still alive this term. Sean Longstaff scored in the first half and Dan Burn in the second to put United's name in the hat, where they will be ball number 16.

Despite a 7pm kick-off time in London, Eddie Howe's side were backed by 3,800 supporters in the away end and they were able to celebrate with the players at the final whistle. Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from SW6.
