Carabao Cup quarter-final win in pictures

It was a night to remember at a raucous St. James' Park on Tuesday as Newcastle United reached the Carabao Cup semi-finals with a 2-0 win over Leicester City.

Dan Burn, the lifelong United supporter now living his dream in black and white, raised the roof with his first goal for his boyhood club before Joelinton's cool finish wrapped up a memorable last eight win for Eddie Howe's side - who were spurred on by the Magpies' biggest ever home crowd in the competition.

Wor Flags' scarf campaign helped create a superb atmosphere inside the stadium as Brendan Rodgers' men were comfortably dispatched, with the result ensuring Newcastle would feature in their first semi-final since 2005 - leaving them potentially just two games away from a trip to Wembley.

Club photographer Serena Taylor, assisted by Michelle Mercer, was there to bring nufc.co.uk this gallery of images.
