Brighton win in pictures

It was quite a night at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday.

Brighton, who went into the game one place and one point ahead of second-placed Newcastle, were awarded a controversial penalty after 14 minutes and Glenn Murray converted.

Chances at both ends followed but going into the final ten minutes, United were facing up to finishing the evening four points behind their promotion rivals.

But then Christian Atsu's shot looped off an unwitting Mohamed Diame to finally beat Seagulls keeper David Stockdale.

And there was still more to come as, in the 89th minute, Matt Ritchie's wonderfull crossfield pass released Atsu, who crossed for super sub Ayoze Perez to score and spark scenes of utter jubilation in the away end.
