Behind the scenes at Magpies' media access day

With just a handful of days remaining until the start of the new Premier League season, Newcastle United opened its doors to a host of rights-holding media outlets and broadcasters on Tuesday.

Eddie Howe and his players gathered after training at United’s Benton training centre to face the cameras, with broadcasters filming walk-on shots and goal celebrations in front of a variety of backdrops and green screens ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

The Magpies squad were kitted out in their new Castore strips and posed for their headshots in preparation for Saturday’s big kick-off against Nottingham Forest, with interviews also on the agenda as the indoor training facility was transformed to accommodate the likes of Sky Sports and BT Sport for the annual content-gathering event.

Go behind the scenes with this gallery from club photographer Serena Taylor, who was there to capture these images for nufc.co.uk on a busy day for Howe and his charges.
