Behind the scenes as Newcastle United Women prepare for potential title decider

It's shaping up to be a big week for Newcastle United Women, with the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division title tantalisingly within their grasp.

The Magpies welcome Huddersfield Town to Kingston Park on Sunday for what will be their final home game of the 2023/24 campaign - and Becky Langley's side know that a win would clinch a second promotion in as many seasons.

United have the highest average attendance in the league, with a record 4,256 crowd at Kingston Park watching their 5-1 win over Liverpool Feds last time out - and it is hoped the ground will be just as full when they take on the Terriers this weekend, with tickets still available here.

Langley put her charges through their paces at Bullocksteads in midweek ahead of a potentially season-defining few days for those in black and white. Harriet Massey braved the torrential rain to bring nufc.co.uk this gallery.
