Arsenal win in pictures

On Monday night, Newcastle United beat Arsenal 2-0 in their final home game of the 2021/22 season on a memorable evening at St. James' Park.

Eddie Howe's side were in control throughout and deservedly took the lead nine minutes after the break when Ben White turned Joelinton's cross into his own net, before Bruno Guimarães made certain of the victory five minutes from the end.

But it wasn't just the performance - arguably one of the Magpies' best in years - that was remarkable. Before the game, there was a spine-tingling Wor Flags display which included all four stands, while the atmosphere throughout undoubtedly inspired the United players against a Gunners side who were looking to boost their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

And after the full time whistle, the team and staff - as well as co-owners Amanda Staveley, Mehrdad Ghodoussi and Jamie Rueben - showed their appreciation for the unwavering support throughout a momentous campaign, which led to more wonderful scenes. Even Ant and Dec got involved, and club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery.
