Gallery: 125 Years United Dinner

Rafa Benítez, members of the first team squad and a host of club legends were in attendance at the Newcastle United Foundation's annual dinner on Tuesday evening.

Themed to celebrate the club's 125th anniversary season and hosted by Gabby Logan and Justin Lockwood, the event saw 500 people converge on Exhibition Park to honour local community heroes and two former Magpies stars.

Club photographer Serena Taylor was there to bring nufc.co.uk this exclusive gallery...

Each table was adorned with a signed ball, which was used to raise funds for Newcastle United Foundation.

The Exhibition Park site was transformed for the event.

Dinner was prepared by celebrated Tyneside chef, Terry Laybourne, who gave up his evening for the Newcastle United Foundation.

United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey spoke to the media ahead of Tuesday's event.

Foundation ambassador Ayoze Perez spoke in glowing terms about the charity's community work.

Jacob Murphy was one of several first team players to attend.

They were joined by manager Rafa Benitez.

Rafa's message was one of togetherness, on and off the field.

Former chairman Sir John Hall - pictured with ex-Magpies defender Nikos Dabizas - was also in attendance.

She was joined on stage by goalkeeper Karl Darlow.

Karl presented the Premier League Primary Stars award to twins, Emma and Anna.

Ayoze Pérez presented the Young Leader Award to Ally Ali.

Rafa Benítez proved to be an entertaining interviewee as he spoke to host Gabby Logan.

Former chairman of Newcastle United Women, Phil Eadon, received the Alder Sweeney award posthumously. It was presented to Phil's wife, Anne, by Rafa.

Adult Learner award winner, Ryan Chamberlain, collects his award from Gabby Logan.

Still an Entertainer! Former Magpies player John Beresford joined Gabby Logan on stage for an amusing interview.

They presented Jack Bell with the Disability Player of the Year award. Well done, Jack!

Arise, Sir Les! Former Magpies striker Les Ferdinand was inducted into the Newcastle United Foundation Hall of Fame.

Les' former teammate, current Foundation patron and fellow Hall of Fame inductee Steve Harper accepted the trophy on his behalf.

Les was joined in the Hall of Fame by Shola Ameobi.

Shola was presented with his award by fellow Newcastle United Foundation patron and club legend, Bob Moncur.

A visibly emotional Shola spoke with Gabby Logan about the honour.

The Nigeria international, who grew up just yards from St. James' Park, recalled his upbringing fondly.
