Attacking trio down Albion (2011/2012)
A scintillating first-half attacking display, consisting of Papiss Cissé, Hatem Ben Arfa and Demba Ba, saw Newcastle United recorded a wonderful 3-1 win at The Hawthorns.
The Magpies netted twice in the opening 12 minutes, with Papiss Cissé's close-range finish breaking the deadlock inside six minutes before Hatem Ben Arfa curled the ball beyond Ben Foster following a dangerous counter-attack.
Cissé, Ben Arfa and Ba proved too hot for the Albion defence to handle as Cissé grabbed Newcastle's third before the half-time whistle, sweeping the ball home after another breakaway move involving the dangerous Ben Arfa and Ba.
Shane Long pulled a goal back for the hosts in the opening stages of the second half but it proved only to be a consolation as Alan Pardew's side moved in joint-fifth, a position they where they ultimately finished at the end of the 2011/12 campaign.
Miggy's brace sends United into FA Cup quarter-finals (2019/20)
Miguel Almirón's brace and Valentino Lazaro's first goal for Newcastle sealed the Magpies' passage into the FA Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 2006 following a thrilling 3-2 win at West Brom.
The visitors opened the scoring at The Hawthorns as Almiron raced onto Allan Saint-Maximin's accurate through ball before tucking the ball past Baggies goalkeeper Jonathan Bond.
The Paraguayan doubled United's lead on the stroke of half-time with a clinical finish following Joelinton's neat backheel into the forward's path.
Lazaro extended United's lead shortly after the restart in front of 5,000 jubilant away supporters before Albion rallied to score two late goals through Matt Phillips and Kenneth Zohore, with Steve Bruce's side holding on to book their spot in the last eight.
Pérez's brilliance and captain Colo (2014/2015)
Goals from Ayoze Pérez and Fabricio Coloccini sealed a comfortable 2-0 win for the Magpies, their fifth consecutive victory in all competitions.
On the stroke of half-time, Pérez sent United into the lead in superb fashion, producing a magnificent flicked finish from Daryl Janmaat's cross which won the 2014/15 NUFC TV goal of the season.
In the second half, in front of the travelling away supporters, Coloccini extended Newcastle's lead further as, following another inviting cross from Janmaat, the United skipper arrived at the back post to power a firm header beyond Foster.
Lovenkrands nets first Magpies goal (2008/2009)
Newcastle claimed an important 3-2 win against West Brom in a manic first half which saw four goals scored in the opening 41 minutes.
The build-up was overshadowed by the news that manager Joe Kinnear had been taken to hospital before the match but the Magpies went ahead early on as Damien Duff pounced on a defensive error to open the scoring after two minutes before Albion responded in quick fashion after Marc-Antoine Fortune's equaliser.
After just nine minutes, Newcastle regained their lead as Peter Lovenkrands scored his first goal for the club with a calm close-range finish before defender Steven Taylor headed home before half-time to provide Newcastle with a two-goal cushion.
A nervy finale was to follow, though, after Fortune grabbed his and West Brom's second goal of the afternoon but it was United who held on for three points.
Owen and Shearer on target (2005/06)
Newcastle proved far too strong for West Brom as goals from Michael Owen and Alan Shearer secured a 3-0 victory in the West Midlands.
The Magpies headed into the Premier League contest off the back of a thrilling Tyne-Wear derby win over rivals Sunderland but were made to wait until the second half to open the scoring.
However, it took inside 60 seconds of the restart as Owen volleyed home from Charles' N'Zogbia's cross before the English striker doubled United's lead with 12 minutes to go after diverting another cross, this time from Kieron Dyer, into the net.
Shearer's introduction from the substitutes' bench proved successful as the striker needed just 14 minutes to find the target, diverting Peter Ramage's cross past Baggies goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszcak.
