Yohan Cabaye became the first Newcastle United player in nearly eight years to score a goal at Anfield - and the away-day specialist has now targeted a few strikes on Tyneside.
You have to go all the way back to December 2004, and Patrick Kluivert's close-range finish, to find the last Magpie on target in the Reds' stadium.
But Cabaye put an end to that unwanted record with the interval approaching on Sunday as he fired home a brilliant half-volley to give United an advantage against the run of play.
Liverpool hit back after the break through Luis Suarez to grab a 1-1 draw, and Newcastle had to hang on at the end with ten men following the dismissal of Fabricio Coloccini for a late lunge on Suarez.
Cabaye's effort was his second goal of the season - both coming on Magpies away days - and he was pleased to give the travelling fans something to cheer about.
"Last season I touched the ball and Agger scored an own goal, so maybe I like this stadium!" he joked, when told about the eight-year statistic.
"But I am always happy when I score, wherever we play, and I want to keep scoring to help the team get better and keep winning.
"I have scored away at Sunderland and Liverpool this season, and now I want to score at St. James' Park.
"I saw Hatem dribbling down the right and I wanted to stay free at the far post.
"I watched the ball come in to me and first of all I wanted to shoot with my first touch, but because of the defender I had to touch the ball and then was just focussed on hitting the target after that.
"I saw the ball go in and was happy but I would have been more happy if the goal gave us three points."
Despite the disappointment of not picking up a victory on Merseyside, Cabaye admitted Newcastle were pleased with a share of the spoils, particularly after withstanding some heavy, early pressure.
Suarez, Raheem Sterling and Suso all threatened for the hosts, but United stood firm to make it four games unbeaten in all competitions.
"It was a good point from a very hard and difficult away game," explained Cabaye.
"In the first ten minutes they put us under a lot of pressure but we stayed solid and they didn't have a really good chance to score.
"It was really important that we didn't concede early on because it meant we stayed in the game.
"After 20-25 minutes we kept the ball better, played in their half and had a few chances before my goal.
"Going in 1-0 up at half-time was great, but the goal we conceded in the second half we could have done much better with. However, a point here is a good point."
