Newcastle United defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has joined Roma on loan until the end of the season

Newcastle United defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has joined Roma on loan until the end of the season, with an option to make the move permanent.
The centre-back arrived on Tyneside in January 2013 from Montpellier and has made 46 appearances to date for the Magpies, although is yet to play a game so far this term.
Yanga-Mbiwa, aged 25, will stay with the Italian giants, who finished second in Serie A last season, for the remainder of the 2014/15 campaign, and could make the switch full-time next summer.
