After his hat-trick against Stoke's under-21 side, Xisco has pledged to keep on doing his best for Newcastle at every level

Smiling Spaniard Xisco pledged to keep on doing his best for Newcastle United after his hat-trick against Stoke's under-21 side on Monday night... whether it's for the first-team or the second-string.
Since his arrival at St. James' Park in September 2008, the 26-year-old from Mallorca has made just nine appearances in the top flight and having spent most of the last two campaigns on loan with former side Deportivo de La Coruna, this week's game was only his second Magpies start at any level since the summer of 2011.
However, his well-taken treble in a 5-1 win at Whitley Park served as a reminder as to what he can do in front of goal and he received high praise from Reserve Team Manager Willie Donachie for the attitude he has shown in the last two Barclays Under-21 Premier League matches.
Xisco set up a goal for Adam Campbell in the 2-1 success at Aston Villa two weeks ago and told nufc.co.uk: "I'm a player for Newcastle United.
"I know I came to play with the first-team but I didn't get the chance so I have to keep trying. If I have to play with the Reserves for the moment I will play with the Reserves and I will help the team to reach their targets.
"I'm happy. I'm happy to score goals, that's always a good feeling, and I'm also happy to help the team get a win. That's the most important thing.
"When you're playing well and doing the simple things, like how we did it today, everything is easier. The team played very well today.
"We played easily much better than the last game at Villa Park and we scored five goals so that's a good thing."
Although he's barely figured for his parent club in recent months, Xisco ended last season on a high with Deportivo as he scored a handful of crucial goals to help them win promotion to La Liga, and he believes that he has carried that form into the current campaign for Newcastle.
"I feel good," he said. "When you're playing with confidence everything is easier. I just need to keep playing.
"Of course goals always give you confidence but I was playing the same way.
"The first season that I came was difficult; we had three or four managers, it was my first season here and it wasn't really good for me.
"That was a bad start for me when I came to the Premier League. But I still have one more year, it's my last season, I would like to play and I would like to give my best for Newcastle.
"In football, anything can happen so I will try my best and then we will see what happens."
Having been out of the limelight for so long, Xisco's name trended throughout the UK on social networking site Twitter after his goals on Monday.
And he said: "There's one thing that I've always felt from Newcastle: the fans have always been very good with me.
"I've always felt the support from them so it's a way to return the confidence."
