Teenage goalkeeper Paul Woolston has been named in the England under-17 squad for this month's St. George's Tournament

The future of Newcastle United continues to be in safe hands after 16-year-old goalkeeper Paul Woolston was called into the England under-17 squad for the St. George's Tournament at the end of August.
Woolston made national headlines when he made his Barclays Under-21 Premier League debut against Manchester United last season while still at school - and produced a handful of fine saves to keep a clean sheet.
And he will now be part of John Peacock's Young Lions squad for the competition, which also features Italy, Portugal and Czech Repubic and involves a total of six games, with the ultimate table-toppers lifting the trophy.
England's under-17s are still on a high after winning the UEFA European Championships in Malta earlier this summer, with another young Magpies goalkeeper, Freddie Woodman, instrumental in that success along with forward Adam Armstrong.
"It's always a good opportunity to test ourselves against some of the top nations at this age group level and we're looking forward to it as always," coach Peacock told TheFA.com.
"This will be the first season in a competitive UEFA tournament for the players and getting used to playing a four-group schedule like this is important in preparing us for the tests ahead."
His side will be in action for the first time on Wednesday, 27th August when Czech Republic are the opposition at Kidderminster's Aggborough Stadium. Two days later, they host Portugal at the Proact Stadium in Chesterfield before the games are wrapped up on Sunday, 31st August when England face Italy at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton.
Tickets cost £3 for adults and £1.50 for under-16s per game and can be purchased through each of the relevant host clubs.
