Woodman Receives FA Fine

Written by Newcastle Utd

Newcastle United goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman has been fined and warned as to his future conduct by the FA

Newcastle United goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman has been fined £1,250 and warned as to his future conduct after he admitted a charge of improper conduct.

The 42-year-old was sent to the stands following an incident which occurred in or around the 94th minute of United's home game against Southampton on Saturday, 14th December.

Both Woodman and Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo were charged by the FA following the incident.

And following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing on Friday, Osvaldo has been suspended for three matches with immediate effect and fined £40,000 after a charge of violent conduct against him was found proven.
