By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Teenage goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has joined League Two side Hartlepool United on a one-month youth loan.

The highly-rated 17-year-old, who is the son of Magpies goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman, made his bow for Newcastle's second string aged just 14 and is a current England Under-18 international

Woodman will remain at Victoria Park until Tuesday, 21st October, and under the conditions of his loan deal will still be able to represent United at under-21 and under-18 level during that time.
