Watch The Derby In Shearer's

Written by Newcastle Utd

For supporters not travelling to the Stadium of Light on Sunday, watching the match at Shearer's bar is the next best thing

By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

Nothing beats being there on derby day - but watching the big match in Shearer's bar comes pretty close.

The famous venue, named after a man who scored a fair few goals against Sunderland, will open at 10am on Sunday and will screen the game from 1.30pm, with all the big build-up on Sky Sports prior to that.

Situated under the Gallowgate stand, a great atmosphere is guaranteed while an array of big screens will provide the best views in town.

And should the Magpies record another famous victory, just like they did at the Stadium of Light last season, it will be the perfect place to party.

Shearer's is also showing Queens Park Rangers v Everton from 4pm.
