Slovenian forward joins League One side Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season
Slovenian forward Haris VuÄkić has joined League One side Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season after signing a one-year contract extension with Newcastle United.
The 23 year-old has agreed terms to remain with the Magpies until the end of the 2016/17 season but will spend the 2015/16 campaign on loan at the DW Stadium, including any potential play-off fixtures for the Latics.
VuÄkić joined Newcastle United from Slovenian PrvaLiga side NK Domžale in January 2009 and has made 20 senior appearances in all competitions during his time at St. James' Park, scoring once.
Capped once at full international level, he has previously spent time on loan with Cardiff City in 2012, Rotherham United during the 2013/14 campaign and Glasgow Rangers last season.
