Newcastle United Under-21s will travel to National League side York City for a pre-season friendly next month.

A youthful United side, which will be selected by football development manager Peter Beardsley, will take on the Minstermen at their Bootham Crescent home on Saturday, 30th July, with kick-off set for 3pm.

Defensive duo Kyle Cameron and Lubo Satka, who both spent time on loan at York last season, could both be part of Beardsley's squad for the fixture.

Centre half Cameron, who has been capped by Scotland at youth level, made 18 appearances for City after joining them on loan in January, and scored his first senior goal in their 2-1 League Two defeat at Hartlepool United.

And Slovakian stopper Satka, also a central defender, made six appearances for Jackie McNamara's side, who were relegated from the fourth tier at the end of the season just gone.

Tickets will be priced at £12 for adults and £6 for concessions. Further ticket details will be announced in due course.
