United Trio Are Brazil Bound

After Tim Krul's place in Holland's final 23-man squad for the World Cup was confirmed over the weekend, three more Newcastle players are now certain of heading to Brazil.

Unsurprisingly, Cheick Tiote has been named in the Ivory Coast squad.

The midfielder is one of four Barclays Premier League stars selected by coach Sabri Lamouchi, with Manchester City's Yaya Toure, Liverpool defender Kolo Toure and Swansea striker Wilfried Bony the others.

Meanwhile both Mathieu Debuchy and Moussa Sissoko are in the France squad, which was confirmed on Tuesday.

Sissoko appeared as a substitute in Sunday's friendly against Paraguay while Debuchy will hope to be Les Bleus' first choice right-back.

Loic Remy, who spent last season on loan at St. James' Park from Queens Park Rangers, is also included in Didier Deschamps' party.

Former Magpies striker Shola Ameobi, who left the Club after 14 years this summer, has been named in Nigeria's squad for the tournament.
