Next month's Barclays Under-21 Premier League fixture against Blackburn Rovers has been put back by 24 hours.

United's final second-string home game of the campaign was due to be played at St. James' Park on Monday, 4th May with a 7pm kick-off.

But it will now be played a day later, on Tuesday, 5th May. The venue and kick-off time are unchanged.

Peter Beardsley's side beat Rovers 3-1 at Leigh Sports Village last December, with Gael Bigirimana, Callum Roberts and Jonathyn Quinn.

But the Magpies lost 1-0 to Blackburn at St. James' in the Under-21 Premier League Cup in January.

Meanwhile, Newcastle's second-string entertain Derby at St. James' Park on Wednesday night.

Kick-off is at 7pm and admission is free for season ticket holders and Members, otherwise £3 for adults and £1 concessions.
