Trio Allocated Squad Numbers

Newcastle United's latest signings Achraf Lazaar, Daryl Murphy and Christian Atsu have been allocated their squad numbers.

The trio all signed for the Magpies late last month but headed straight off on international duty, so have only just determined which shirts they will wear.

Morocco international full-back Lazaar takes on the number seven vacated by Moussa Sissoko, having worn the same number at his former club Palermo.

Experienced striker Murphy will wear the number 33 shirt - the same figure as his age - while Ghanaian winger Atsu has chosen number 30 for his season-long loan from Chelsea.

Lazaar, Murphy and Atsu are all in contention to face Derby County on Saturday, as United travel to the iPro Stadium in the Sky Bet Championship (5.30pm kick-off).
