Alan Pardew and Moussa Sissoko have been nominated for the league's manager and player of the month award for February

Alan Pardew and Moussa Sissoko have been nominated as the Barclays Manager and Player of the Month for February.
Newcastle won two of their three league games - including a victory over European champions Chelsea - and progressed in the Europa League with a win and a draw over Metalist Kharkiv.
Sissoko scored three goals in those three matches, two of them on his home debut, to earn him a nomination alongside Gareth Bale of Tottenham and Manchester United pair Rafael and Robin van Persie.
It has been some start to life at St. James' Park for the former Toulouse midfielder, who only arrived in England in January and has been in sensational form for his new club.
Pardew has been shortlisted together with Arsene Wenger, Andre Villas-Boas and Sir Alex Ferguson.
