By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

The Club's request to the Barclays Premier League for next month's home game against Stoke City to be moved as a result of United's progression in the Europa League has been granted.

Magpies officials asked for the match - initially scheduled for Saturday, 9th March - to be moved back by 24 hours as Newcastle play the first leg of their European tie against Anzhi Makhachkala on Thursday, 7th March.

And the league have now confirmed that the fixture will be played on Sunday, 10th March.

Kick-off at St. James' Park will remain at 3pm.
