Stars Come Out For Villa Programme

Written by Newcastle Utd

Aston Villa come to Tyneside on Sunday and here's what you can expect from a packed matchday programme

By Dan Sheridan - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Aston Villa visit Tyneside this weekend for Sunday's Barclays Premier League clash, and ahead of the big game, your official matchday programme is packed full of exclusives once again.

Goalkeeper Tim Krul is put on the spot in our main interview, and the Dutchman explains how Steve Harper and Villa's former Toon stopper Shay Given helped to shape his career.

We also continue to bring you a host of new features for the 2012/13 season, with full-back Danny Simpson lifting the lid on everything from tattoos to superstitions in our latest iToons interview.

In Hometown Heroes, Slovenian star Haris Vuckic goes back to his roots and lets us in on a few secrets about the town he was raised in and his life as a child growing up in Domžale.

And in our latest Young Gun interview, teenage defender Remie Streete reveals how training with the first team last season gave him all the motivation he needs to make it to the top.

With England's revamped top flight now in its 20th year, Premier League Years focuses on every Newcastle season since it began, with the spotlight falling on the 1994/95 campaign for the visit of Villa.

Elsewhere we hear from former Villains striker and current Talksport commentator Stan Collymore in our From the Press Box pages, while Club Historian Paul Joannou delves into the archives in our popular history pages.

And as ever, our award-winning opposition section brings you all the stats, facts and profiles you'll need on our visitors from the Midlands ahead of the big game.

The programme is on sale now in our Official Club Store at the stadium, and will be available around the ground on matchday as usual. Single programmes and subscriptions are also available online by clicking here.
