Satka Extends York Loan

Written by Newcastle Utd

United youngster Lubomir Satka has extended his loan spell at York City until the end of the season

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Newcastle United youngster Lubomir Satka has extended his loan spell at York City until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old defender, who can play at centre-half or full-back, originally joined the League Two side on a month's loan, which expired today (Monday, 29th January).

However, after five appearances for the Minstermen, in which they have picked up two victories and climbed off the foot of the table, Satka will now remain at Bootham Cresent until the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

Satka is the captain of United's under-21 side and a Slovakian under-21 international. He has made one first team appearance for Newcastle, as a substitute in an FA Cup third round tie at Leicester City last season.
