Rolando Returns Against Boro

Written by Newcastle Utd

Winger Rolando Aarons is back from injury as Newcastle's under-18s host Middlesbrough on Tuesday morning

By Dan King - Newcastle United Digital Editor

Newcastle are looking to complete a Barclays Under-18 Premier League double over Middlesbrough when the Teessiders arrive at Little Benton on Tuesday (kick-off 11am).

Dave Watson's Magpies were 2-0 winners at Boro's Rockliffe Park HQ last month thanks to goals from Joe Kerridge and Daniel Barlaser.

That was one of five wins in United's last six games at this level - the most recent coming on Saturday when Chelsea were beaten 3-2.

Alex Gilliead scored a brace against the Blues but he's away with England under-18s, who face Germany in a friendly on Wednesday, while a handful of Watson's regular players were involved for the under-21s in Monday's 0-0 draw with Manchester City.

However Rolando Aarons returns after a hamstring injury. The game is open to the public and admission is free.

The squad is: Rolando Aarons, Stefan Broccoli, Kyle Cameron, Ben Drennan, Liam Gibson, Macaulay Gillesphey, Tom Heardman, Jack Hunter, Joe Kerridge, Adam Laidler, Ryan McKinnon, Michael Newberry, Lewis Suddick, Liam Tatters, Jake Trodd, Freddie Woodman, Paul Woolston.
