Riley Makes Loan Move

Written by Newcastle Utd

By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

Young winger Marcus Maddison has extended his work experience loan spell with Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side Blyth Spartans, while he has been joined at Croft Park by left-back Michael Riley.

Maddison has played twice so far since joining Blyth last month, scoring once, while the terms of the agreement have also allowed him to continue playing for Newcastle's under-21 side.

Riley has joined under the same arrangement and both players will be available to Blyth over the Christmas period.

Paddy Atkinson's side are away to Hednesford Town on Saturday before hosting Whitby Town on Boxing Day and Ashton United on 29th December. They then travel to North Ferriby on 1st January.

The loans will run until Sunday, 6th January 2013.
