Remy's Greedy For More Goals

Written by Newcastle Utd

United striker Loic Remy isn't satisfied with five goals in four starts, insisting he can still improve

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Loic Remy may have netted five goals in just four starts since his arrival from Queens Park Rangers in the summer - but the front man isn't satisfied.

Doubles against Hull and Cardiff, sandwiched either side of a close-range finish at Everton, have made the French international an immediate fans' favourite on Tyneside.

But while most strikers would be more than happy with that ratio, Remy has signalled his ambition and self-belief, insisting his goal return in the black and white striped shirt can still improve.

"I just have to keep going like this and to do the best every game," Remy told nufc.co.uk before heading off on international duty with Les Bleus.

"I want to score three goals or four goals every game.

"I'm a striker and sometimes one or two goals is not enough for me or the team. The more I can score, the better."
