Reading Reserve Rearrangement

Written by Newcastle Utd

Next week's under-21 home game against Reading has a new date and venue due to the snow which has fallen in Newcastle

By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

Next week's Barclays Premier Under-21 League game against Reading has a new date and new venue due to the snow which has settled in Tyneside for the last few days.

Newcastle were to host the Royals on Monday afternoon at Whitley Park, the home of the Northumberland FA, but the pitch is currently unplayable and more inclementi weather has been forecast.

Therefore, the fixture has been moved back two days to Wednesday, 30th January with a 12 noon kick-off while the game will now be played at the Magpies' training centre in Benton.

As a result, the match will now take place behind closed doors with members of the public not permitted.
