Still on a high from Monday's FA Youth Cup fourth round thrashing of Sunderland, Newcastle's under-18s take on Manchester United on Saturday.

Dave Watson's side travel to the Red Devils' Carrington training ground for a 12.30pm kick-off, and will be hoping to extend their 100 per cent record in 2014.

Kicking off the year with a 3-0 win over Wolves, the Magpies then beat Sunderland 1-0 in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League before this week's 4-0 cup success.

Jonathyn Quinn hit the headlines with a hat-trick against the Black Cats and he is involved at the weekend, as is strike partner Adam Armstrong.

Liam Smith continues his comeback from injury while goalkeeper Freddie Woodman could make his first league start since he was injured against Reading back in September.

The squad is: Rolando Aarons, Adam Armstrong, Daniel Barlaser, Kyle Cameron, Ben Drennan, Macaulay Gillesphey, Alex Gilliead, Tom Heardman, Olivier Kemen, Ryan McKinnon, Greg Olley, Jonathyn Quinn, Liam Smith, Jamie Sterry, Freddie Woodman, Paul Woolston.
