Places Going Fast For Zip Wire Challenge

Written by Newcastle Utd

Former Newcastle star John Anderson is taking part in a zip slide challenge for the club's Foundation, but only limited places remain

Ex-Newcastle United legend John Anderson and Total Sport presenter Simon Pryde have signed up to lead 130 dare devils undertaking the 150 foot high zip wire challenge at St. James' Park, to raise vital funds for Newcastle United's official charity and support disadvantaged children and their families from across the North East.

Sarah Medcalf, Fundraising Manager, Newcastle United Foundation, said: "Our zip wire challenge takes place on Saturday 20th April 2013 and offers adrenaline junkies, staunch NUFC supporters and 'big birthday' celebrators alike the chance to take a giant leap of faith; benefit from a birds eye view of St James Park, and most importantly make a huge difference to the lives of local families"

There are still limited spaces available - if you're 12 years old and over and would like to scale the heady heights of St James' Park, to register call us on 0844 372 1892 ext 8451 or email [email protected]. There is an entry fee of £30.00 per person, to cover the event costs and we then ask that you raise a minimum £140 in sponsorship for Newcastle United Foundation.

Zip slide places can also be bought as gifts for £140. Please contact us for further information.
