By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

The third issue of Newcastle United's award-winning matchday programme will be on sale for Wednesday's Sky Bet Championship home game against Reading (7.45pm kick-off).

Featuring an eye-catching vector illustration of midfielder Jonjo Shelvey on a black cover, inside the 100-page issue we speak to the midfielder about returning to the starting line-up and being brave and patient on the ball.

The latest instalment of a new feature called Kitbag sees Paul Dummett reveal all about the dressing room at the Magpies' Benton-based Training Centre, while we also hear from former Reading and Newcastle goalkeeper Shaka Hislop, who speaks about his time at both clubs.

There are interviews with goalkeeper Tim Krul and under-23 summer signing Yasin Ben El-Mhanni, and a free A2 double-sided poster with each sold copy of the programme.

That is a just a snippet of what is inside this week's issue, with an extensive look at Wednesday's opponents Reading and four pages of quizzes and puzzles for our younger fans also included.

The official matchday programme will be available to purchase around St. James' Park and in the club store at the stadium on Wednesday, priced at just £3 for 100 pages.
