Pic Special: Taylor Made For Derby

Written by Newcastle Utd

Local lad Steven Taylor was one of the players back in training this week ahead of Sunday's derby at the Stadium of Light

Steven Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini and Tim Krul all returned to training this week and could be in contention for Sunday's derby at the Stadium of Light.

Taylor limped off with a calf strain at Reading last month, Coloccini has been feeling the effects of a hamstring strain for several weeks and Krul picked up an elbow injury on international duty with Holland.

But all three were able to take part in the latest session at United's Benton training centre, raising hopes that they might be fit to face Sunderland at the weekend. Cheick Tiote, Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse also trained after returning from international duty while Shane Ferguson also took part after withdrawing from the Northern Ireland squad last week.

And Steven wasn't the only Taylor out on the pitch as Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this exclusive gallery.
