Pardew's Delight As Tiote Cheicks Back In

Alan Pardew has tipped returning midfielder Cheick Tiote to "get back to his best", starting on Saturday against Swansea City.

The Ivorian enforcer has sat out Newcastle's last three Barclays Premier League fixtures following his straight red card in the Tyne-Wear derby last month.

But now Tiote is available for selection once more and the boss is hopeful he can put together a run of impressive displays in the Magpies' engine room.

"Cheick is a massive part of this Club and this team's success over the last couple of years," said Pardew, of the man he described as "our warrior" last weekend.

"He is a massive player for us, this year perhaps he hasn't been at his best but he has had no rhythm in terms of playing games.

"He got injured then suspended and we really hope he gets a run right up until the Africa Cup of Nations and that he gets back to his best. He is very important to us."

Tickets for Saturday's game against Swansea are still available, starting from just £20 for adults and £10 for juniors. For more information, click here
