nufcTV: Re-Live Norwich Win

Written by Newcastle Utd

Extended highlights of Newcastle United's 1-0 home win over Norwich City on Sunday

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Club Reporter

Demba Ba's clinical first-half finish helped United continue their impressive start to the 2012/13 campaign with a 1-0 home victory over Norwich on Sunday.

The Senegalese front man finished off an outstanding counter-attack which started with goalkeeper Steve Harper, before Hatem Ben Arfa tricked his way through the Canaries midfield and threaded an outstanding pass into the path of Ba.

That wasn't the end of the action though, with Papiss Cisse missing a penalty, Ben Arfa and Gabriel Obertan forcing saves from Norwich keeper John Ruddy, and Steven Taylor heading just wide.

At the other end, Harper was called upon to make a smart save from Andrew Surman just after the interval, while Mike Williamson had earlier headed clear off his own goalline.

It was a fixture full of incident, and also saw Chris Hughton's first return to Tyneside since leaving Newcastle in December 2010.
