Papiss Cisse has made a habit of late winners over the last couple of years, and the Senegalese front man was at it again on Saturday.
Denied by Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni on at least three ocassions, Cisse failed to give up and was rewarded deep into stoppage time at St. James' Park when he glanced home Hatem Ben Arfa's cross.
It sent a near full house on Tyneside into raptures and was just reward for a dominant Magpies' performance in which Cheick Tiote struck the crossbar, and Yoan Gouffran and Luuk de Jong also threatened.
