It was another memorable European night on Tyneside as Newcastle cruised to a 3-0 win over Bordeaux.

Shola Ameobi's first goal of the season set the Magpies on their way, before a Henrique own goal and Papiss Cisse's left-foot strike put the result beyond any doubt.

Ameobi finished off a stunning team move involving Yohan Cabaye and Gabriel Obertan, while superb crosses from Danny Simpson and Shane Ferguson created goals number two and three.
