nufcTV: Anzhi Highlights

Written by Newcastle Utd

Around ten minutes of extended highlights from Newcastle's 1-0 triumph over Anzhi in the Europa League

Injury-time winners are becoming a nice habit for United front man Papiss Cisse.

Having netted a 91st-minute strike against Stoke last Sunday, which earned a 2-1 Barclays Premier League victory, Cisse left it even later as Anzhi Makhachkala came to Tyneside on Thursday night.

Heading home even deeper into stoppage time, the Senegalese international secured Newcastle's passage into the quarter-finals of the Europa League, triumphing 1-0 on aggregate.

And it capped a memorable European night at St. James' Park, with more than 45,000 Geordies ensuring the stadium became a fortress.

There were chances for Steven Taylor, Cheick Tiote and Moussa Sissoko, while at the other end Mbark Boussoufa crashed a free-kick against the crossbar with time running out.

But Cisse had the last laugh and you can re-live the best of the action with extended highlights from the fixture. Just click on the button below.
