Written by Newcastle Utd

Fabricio Coloccini joined Braga coach Fernando Couto and skipper Alan to lay a wreath at the statue of Sir Bobby Robson at St. James' Park on Saturday

Prior to kick-off of Saturday's pre-season friendly between Newcastle United and SC Braga, representatives of both clubs paid tribute to the former United manager as part of the Sir Bobby Robson National Football Day.

United Captain Fabricio Coloccini laid a black and white wreath on behalf of the club at Sir Bobby's statue outside St. James' Park whilst Braga Assistant Coach Fernando Couto, who played under Sir Bobby at Porto and Barcelona, laid a wreath on behalf of Braga.

In addition Braga Team Captain, Alan, laid his own Braga shirt at the statue, signed by all of his team mates.
