New Boys To Face Gateshead

Written by Newcastle Utd

All three of Newcastle's summer signings will feature when the Reserves take on Gateshead on Wednesday night

By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

All three of Newcastle's summer signings will be on show when they take on non-league neighbours Gateshead at the International Stadium on Wednesday night (kick-off 7.30pm).

Romain Amalfitano, Gael Bigirimana and latest addition Curtis Good are part of a strong squad which travels across the River Tyne to take on the Blue Square Bet Premier outfit, managed by former United midfielder Ian Bogie.

The likes of Mehdi Abeid, James Tavernier and Rob Elliot are also included, while Paul Dummett played for the first-team against Olympiakos on the trip to Portugal and will come up against the side he enjoyed a successful loan spell with last season.

It's a first public friendly of the summer for Willie Donachie and Peter Beardsley's second-string, who beat Hamilton 3-1 behind closed doors last month and also had training game victories against Ashington and Team Northumbria.

Admission prices are £10 for adults, £5 concessions and £2 for under-16s, and turnstiles are open from 6.30pm at both ends of the Tyne and Wear Stand. A programme will be on sale priced at £1.50.

The squad is: Rob Elliot, Jak Alnwick, Alex Nicholson, Paul Dummett, Curtis Good, Michael Riley, Steven Logan, Conor Newton, Mehdi Abeid, Michael Richardson. Gael Bigirimana, Liam Henderson, Brandon Miele, Bradden Inman, Romain Amalfitano, Marcus Maddison, Dennis Knight, JJ Hooper
