Aleksandar Mitrovic insists he will keep calm at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, and knows exactly what to expect from the Tyne-Wear derby.
The 21-year-old Serbian stiker - a summer signing from Anderlecht - has netted twice in as many games for the Magpies, quickly becoming a fans' favourite with his all-action, passionate displays.
Despite his tender years, Mitrovic has already played in a number of important, fiery fixtures for both club and country, and is relishing this weekend's clash at the Stadium of Light.
But having been on the receiving end of a straight red card already this season, the front man knows it is crucial that he keeps his emotions in check if United are to record back-to-back Premier League wins.
"Sunday is an important game for our fans and our Club, and I hope we can win," he told nufc.co.uk.
"There will be a lot of passion at the next game but I do not want to make the same mistake that I did against Arsenal, and do something stupid.
"I want to stay on the level. I know they will try to provoke me but I will keep my head strong and try to score goals and help my teammates.
"It's a derby. I am only 21 but I have played in a lot of big derbies, big games, and I can say I know how to play these games and score goals in them.
"I hope I will continue with my goals and score in my first game against Sunderland."
