Magpies Duo Help Promote Sport Relief

Newcastle United players Rob Elliot and Sammy Ameobi were at the Sportsdirect.com store in Eldon Square, Newcastle, on Tuesday afternoon to be presented with their own personalised Sport Relief T-shirts.
This year's official Sport Relief T-shirt is available exclusively via Sportsdirect.com in store and online, and the Magpies stars were the latest in a long line of famous faces to lend their support to the campaign.
The two players signed T-shirts purchased in store on the day which helped encourage people to support the charity and buy the fundraising T-shirt.
Goalkeeper Elliot said: "Sport Relief is an amazing campaign, and the amount of money they raise is incredible. I have such admiration for everything they do to help support people living unimaginably tough lives, both on our doorstep in the UK and across the world's poorest countries."
And homegrown forward Ameobi added: "I'm delighted to support the campaign and would urge Newcastle fans to come down to Sportsdirect.com and buy their T-shirts."
This year's Sport Relief T-shirt is available exclusively via Sportsdirect.com in store and online, and retails for £8 for an adult T-shirt and £6 for the junior, with at least £4 of the adult and at least £2 of the junior then going straight to Sport Relief.
The £4 donated from the adult T-shirt could pay for ten children in Uganda to be tested for malaria so they can get a quick diagnosis and receive the life-saving treatment they desperately need, while £2 from the junior T-shirt could enable a young person living in a disadvantaged UK community to play football in a safe, nurturing environment after school, helping them to escape local gang violence.
As one of the UK's biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives. All the money raised by the public helps people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world's poorest countries.
The Sport Relief Weekend is happening from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th March, but T-shirts are on sale now, and for the first time the 100 per cent fair trade cotton T-shirts can be personalised.
