Loan Watch: Two Defeats

Written by Newcastle Utd

It was a winless weekend for Newcastle's loan stars with Jonathan Mitchell and Michael Richardson both on the losing side

By Dan King - Newcastle United Digital Editor

Only two of Newcastle's loan players were in action for their temporary teams over the weekend, and both were on the losing side.

The international break did not affect Accrington's League Two meeting with Chesterfield and Michael Richardson played the whole game for Stanley.

But they're still waiting for their first league win of the campaign - they did beat Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup - after a 1-0 loss on Saturday.

In the Skrill North, meanwhile, Workington lost 3-1 at Histon with Jonathan Mitchell in goal for the Reds.
